Partition a hard drive in Windows can be make with a new hard disk or deleted an existing partition old hard disk. Partion always used when you need to create 2 drive in windows like drive C or drive D. Your program like windows installed in drive C and drive D can used for save your data files. You can create up to four partition you want, C, D, E, F in one hard disk.

From the image you can see Disc 0 and Disk 1 has two partitions. One partition is a 232.88 GB NTFS partition that has been assigned the drive letter C and drive letter D, 146.48 GB NTFS partition in drive F and 151.60 GB NTFS partition in drive G. For your information i used 2 hard disk in my desktop and one CD-ROM.

For new hard disk, you can create partition your drive with this easy way.

1. Start button and click Control PanelSystem and SecurityAdministrative Tools
2. In Administrative Tools, double click on Computer Management.
3. Under Computer Management, click on Storage and go to Disk Management.
4. Right click on the new drive and select new partition, then it will launch the partition wizard.
5. In this step it will then prompt you how much drive space you want to allocate to the new partition.
6. If you choose not to use the total amount of space for the first partition, you’ll be able to make extra partitions from the same way as much as a greatest of four partitions per disk.
7. Now it’s going to ask for a drive letter which Home windows will use to represent partition as Drive C: or Drive D: etc.
8. Once you have created the partitions, you’ll must format the newly created partitions which Windows will prompt to do automatically.
9. When formatting is complete, reboot your computer and youre done.

Here Simple Steps to delete a partition:

1. Start button and click Control PanelSystem and SecurityAdministrative Tools and double-click on the Computer Management icon.
2. Click on the Disk Management option under the Storage category.
3. Right-click on the partition you would like to delete and choose the Delete Volume.
4. Once confirm you want delete the partition, click yes button and all data on this partition will be deleted. The partition will now be deleted and you can either create a new partition or exit.
